Austrian Jazz Prize: New stars conquer the stage!

In an exciting return after a 15 -year break, the Austrian Jazz Prize in Vienna was awarded today to celebrate and promote the country's lively jazz scene. The prize, which was previously known as Hans Koller Jazz Prize, is awarded in three categories: Best Live Act, Best Album and Best Newcomer. The winners in the spotlight

The title "Best Live Act 2024" went to the Quartet Synesthetic4 under the direction of the clarinetist Vincent Pongracz. In the "Best Album" category, Beate Wiesinger and her septet Echoboomer received the award for the work "Timeless Warrior".
