Baiersbronn: Schwarzwaldstube among the best restaurants in the world!

Baiersbronn, a picturesque community in the northern Black Forest, has once again proven why it is considered a German gourmet stronghold. With two proud three-star restaurants, the place is unique in Germany. The famous “Schwarzwaldstube” of the Hotel Traube Tonbach recently took first place in the renowned gourmet guide “La Liste”, making it one of the nine best restaurants in the world. This reports Mercury.

The Schwarzenwaldstube impresses with modern interpretations of French classics, which have been created under the direction of chef Torsten Michel since 2017. Particularly noteworthy is a dish like the “Ikejime France” with perfectly fried turbot, which impresses with its sophisticated combinations and first-class ingredients. For those with a sweet tooth, Piet Gliesche's delicious desserts are the perfect end to a gourmet evening. The ambience also adds to the special experience, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering fantastic views of the valley, as well as Guide Michelin is described.

A place among the best

The Schwarzwaldstube's award is no coincidence. It has been awarded three Michelin stars since 1992 and has achieved the highest rating on “La Liste” several times. It now shares top spot with top international restaurants such as Le Bernardin in New York and Guy Savoy in Paris, which also received a rating of 99.5 percent. None of the renowned kitchens have so far exceeded the 100 percent mark, which underlines the impressive achievement of the Schwarzwaldstube.

In addition, two other German restaurants enjoyed great recognition, taking second place with an impressive 99 percent. Baiersbronn not only shows its culinary excellence, but also the heyday of top German cuisine in an international comparison.
