The renovation plan provides for a refinancing of 600 million euros, of which the creditors must receive a share by May 23. The largest creditor is the European investment bank with over 211 million euros.
Despite the turbulent circumstances for the employees at KTM, who had to avoid 370 dismissals and other threatened 500 last year, the region is optimistic about the future. Walter Moser, head of the AMS Braunau, confidently commented: "We assume that the labor market will stabilize in the coming months."
