Stadthagen celebrates the opening of the magical daycare center Zauberburg”!
Stadthagen.A magical place for children is born! The new PLSW daycare center “Zauberburg” in St. Annen was ceremoniously inaugurated, and Mayor Oliver Theiß could hardly contain his joy at the opening. “The next great daycare center” is now a home for elves, trolls and bats – and above all for 98 curious children!
The architectural masterpiece, designed by Malte Wulf from the “N2M” office, impresses with its impressive ceiling heights of up to 7.50 meters and light-flooded rooms. The “pre-grayed” wooden facade was deliberately chosen to offer the children space for creativity and discovery. “Hybrid, ecologically and economically good” – that is the concept that finally became reality after five years of hard work and a doubling of construction costs to 8.5 million euros.
A place of creativity
Daycare director Hanna Kisker beams with joy at the new possibilities. A workroom where little craftsmen can discover their talents and a studio that has already been brought to life with bright colors are just a few highlights. The children can also relax in retreats or try out the exciting slide in the stairwell - a real hit!
The “Zauberburg” replaces the “Mittendrin” container daycare center, which provided urgently needed places in an emergency. Despite the challenges posed by the long construction period, Mayor Theiß emphasizes that the difficulties have brought those involved together. A new star has risen in Stadthagen's daycare sky!
