Rosenbauer AG: Thomas Biringer will be the new technology board from June!

Linz, Österreich - On May 28, 2025, important changes were announced on the board of Rosenbauer International AG. Thomas Biringer, who has been an interimistic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since February 2024, was officially appointed to this position. He took office on June 1, 2025 and will apply for a period of three years. Biringer has extensive experience from the international vehicle industry, including companies such as Magna, BMW and Daimler. He also studied Mechatronics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. His role in building a production facility near Rosenbauer in 2009 is particularly noteworthy.

Markus Richter, the current CFO (CFO), has informed the Supervisory Board that he would like to resolve his mandate at the end of June at the end of June. The Supervisory Board has already agreed to this request. In the meantime, CEO Robert Ottel will take on the tasks of the CFO until a succession plan is taken. Christian Reisinger, the chairman of the supervisory board, expressly thanked Markus Richter for his work in recent years.

This increase took place despite difficult economic framework and a cyber attack in February, which caused production failures. Despite the challenges, the company managed to return to the profit zone with an EBIT of 37.4 million euros after a loss of 10.6 million euros was recorded in the previous year.

The positive development is also underpinned by an increase in order input. This rose from 1,230.0 million euros to 1,450.3 million euros in 2022. The order inventory also reached a historical high with 1,788.0 million euros at the end of the year.
