New section commander in St. Lorenz: Alexander Neuhauser elected!

St. Lorenz, Österreich - st. Lorenz/Grieskirchen: On March 18, 2025, there was an important election in the fire service in Upper Austria - Alexander Neuhauser was elected with impressive 100% of the votes as the new section commander of the Section Mondsee fire brigade. The choice took place in the fire station in Keuschen, with Richard Steinkogler from the BH Vöcklabruck as election manager. The outgoing section commander Manfred Kerschbaumer, who resigned for health reasons, handed over the important office to the previous specialist officers for radio and news. Neuhauser is now responsible for 15 fire brigades from 8 municipalities.

The choice in the Mondsee section shows how quickly and efficiently changes in fire service can be implemented. The mayors of the region congratulate Neuhauser, whose commitment in the section drone group and the public work team is already recognized. In a similar breath, elections also took place in the Grieskirchen district, where all three section fire brigade commanders were re-elected with 100% support for another five years. Johann Kronsteiner for the Grieskirchen section, Josef Murauer for Haag and Helmut Neuweg for Peuerbach were elected by their commanders, which strengthens the trust and continuity in the fire brigade.

The new section fire brigade commander is ready to take responsibility, whereby Obr Wolfgang Hufnagl thanked the outgoing Manfred Kerschbaumer and his deputy Georg Hausleitner for her previous services. This seamless handover shows that the fire service relies on stability. Similar trends were observed in the elections in the Grieskirchen district, where Kronsteiner with 29 votes, Murauer and Neuweg also received unanimous support. These elections underline the collegial cohesion and the trust that is set in the leaders of the volunteer fire brigade, and confirm their tireless work in the community.
