New building gets new district chief deputy: Senad Lacevic
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - On December 4, 2024, Senad Lacevic, the previous club chairman of the SPÖ Neubau, was nominated as the new deputy of the district leader. The SPÖ new building announced this. The choice of the 46-year-old, who works as a works council at the Vienna Adult Education Centers, takes place on December 12, 2024. Lacevic follows Gallus birds, who takes off the position due to a professional reorientation after ten years. Lacevic, who has been active in the district council for over fifteen years, emphasizes the importance of social justice and fair educational opportunities for all new builders. He said: "A strong SPÖ is needed in the new building because we also live many people who are not rich and privileged."
In his new role, Lacevic plans to focus on projects that aim to improve the quality of life in the district. The focus is on support for people with low incomes. He has created a platform through the advisory brunch of the SPÖ new building to regularly exchange ideas about topics such as living and social issues. Lacevic, himself a child of guest workers, is also committed to the formation of refugee people and for combating the climate crisis. He clearly positions himself: "Climate protection and social justice are not a contradiction." The SPÖ new building already supports numerous measures by the city of Vienna to combat this crisis, as Lacevic emphasized in its idea.professional experience and commitment
Senad Lacevic, born in 1978, was the first to study in his family and combines his experience as a worker child with his social commitment. He was passionate about various educational projects, including the conversion of VS Stiftgasse to an all-day school and the founding of the Flash girls' café. Its primary topics are social justice, sustainable mobility and the creation of more space for children's needs in the densely populated new building, the seventh largest district of Vienna. Lacevic is convinced that every child should have the best prerequisites for a happy growing up regardless of the income of the parents, which he considered important in order to be able to counter social challenges.
For his future term of office, Lacevic thanks his predecessor: "Hardly anyone knows the district as well as Gallus birds. His commitment to affordable living space has supported many fruits." This shows that he sees the work already done as the basis for his future plans. Lacevic is determined to continue to position the SPÖ new building as a strong voice of the citizens, while it remains active in social and educational policy matters. Further information about his initiatives and views can be found on the website of the SPÖ new building .
