A worrying incident occurred in Vienna-Favoriten on Friday evening, May 31, 2025. At around 9:15 p.m., a motorcycle was intentionally set on fire, causing the flames to spread to a car parked in front of it. The police assume arson and are investigating this case intensively, reports Cosmo.

A passer-by noticed the blazing flames and immediately alerted the emergency services. Fortunately, the Vienna fire department was able to prevent the fire from spreading further to neighboring vehicles. However, both the motorcycle and the car suffered significant damage. The authorities are now looking for the suspected arsonist, who is described as male and slim. He was wearing a black baseball cap, light-colored pants, a light-colored T-shirt, a black vest, black shoes and a black shoulder bag.

The police emphasize that information about the incident can be reported directly to the Vienna State Criminal Police Office or anonymously by calling 01-31310-33800. Thanks to the quick reaction of a passer-by and the professional efforts of the fire department, even greater damage was averted.
