Flood workers from Marktleuthen: A big thank you for your efforts!
In an impressive commitment, the volunteers of the BRK Marktleuthen showed extraordinary use in the flood in southern Germany. Between May and December 2024, they worked primarily in the Donau-Ries district and supported the emergency services there with their mobile field kitchen. The helpers supplied up to 600 forces every day with the necessary meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. This responsible work was not unnoticed, and so the brave rescuers received the "Fluthelfelfer needle 2024" by Prime Minister Markus Söder, such as the FrankenPost reported.

Shortly afterwards there was another outstanding commitment when the BRK helpers in Rhineland-Palatinate became active. Under the direction of Kevin and Joachim Fischer as well as Thomas Kielmann and Uwe Stiebeling, they set up their mobile cuisine in the disaster area in Neuwied near Koblenz. The four men prepared up to 400 warm meals every day to provide the exhausted helpers of BRK, Maltese and Johannitern. Despite hard working hours from early to late, they received great praise for their efforts. "After the long days of operation, the men really deserved a good meal," emphasized Joachim Fischer in an interview with the KV Wunsiedel .Overall, the BRK Marktleuthen's missions testify to an enormous commitment and an impressive team performance, which is only possible through such motivated and capable volunteers.
