Esslingen graduate inspires with innovative idea at the Female Founders Cup!

Jasmin Saleh, a graduate of Esslingen University in software engineering and media informatics, has reached the final of the Female Founders Cup 2024. She is launching an innovative project called Mindsetr. The idea behind Mindsetr is to efficiently arrange appointments for psychological help. Special features of the project are automated waiting list management and electronic questionnaires that help therapists gain valuable time for patient care.

Another component of Mindsetr is an AI chatbot that carries out the initial anamnesis and thus enables patients to start the therapy process comfortably. The Female Founders Cup, which is organized by GründES!, the Center for Entrepreneurship at Esslingen University, receives support from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs. Gabriele Gühring, Vice Rector for Research and Transfer, described the initiative as a strong signal to the IT industry.

Support and commitment to women in technology

Jasmin Saleh was supported in her participation in the Female Founders Cup by fellow students who are also enrolled in computer science courses at Esslingen University. These include Pakize Gökkaya, Sungeetha Sing and Merve Duman, who are actively committed to getting more women into technical courses. Jasmin Saleh and her colleagues also contribute as tutors to the Girls' Digital Camps, which are also supported by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism.

An online course on app programming for girls in grades 6 to 8 will take place next December 27th, for which registration is possible via the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences homepage. This course is intended to open the doors to the digital world for young girls and inspire them to code.
