Voluntary life's work: Hans-Erich Pauly is celebrated!
Mülheim an der Mosel – Hans-Erich Pauly was honored for his outstanding 50 years of voluntary work in the carpentry trade. The honor took place in a ceremonial setting at the end of last year. Senior master Walter Blasius from the Bernkastel-Wittlich carpenters' guild presented him with a certificate of thanks and a present and recognized him as a “pillar of the craft”. Blasius particularly thanked Pauly for his achievements in training and his many years of work on the guild's journeyman examination committee.
Pauly is not only the recipient of the Silver Badge of Honor from the State Association of Carpenters, but also received the Golden Badge of Honor from the Mosel-Eifel-Hunsrück Region District Craft Association. His many years of work are highly valued by colleagues and the guild.
Event on the future of carpentry
At a meeting for guild members on April 16, 2024 in Zeltingen-Rachtig, organized by senior master Walter Blasius, the future of the company organization with the support of artificial intelligence (AI) was discussed. Speaker Matthias Brack, a carpenter and craft visionary, presented practical examples of the use of AI in small carpentry businesses. The aim was to promote a more effective way of working both in the office and in the workshop.
Blasius was impressed by the possibilities for increasing productivity, but emphasized that the use of AI can also come with costs. Other honors were also awarded at this event. In addition to Hans-Erich Pauly, Rudolf Friedrich was honored for 40 years of voluntary work and was again appointed to the journeyman examination committee. Frank Müller and Ingo Rauen received the silver master certificate for at least 25 years of mastership.
A planned company visit and a guild trip to Löningen in September, organized by Stefan Martini from Remmers, are intended to strengthen internal relationships. Blasius emphasized the importance of the supporting members' commitment to collegial exchange, which is supported by companies such as Leyendecker Holzland and Hees and Peters.
5Four reported that Hans-Erich Pauly was honored for his dedicated work in the craft, during Economy Eifel informed about the new initiative to support artificial intelligence in the industry.
