E.optimum supports Offenburger Tafel with a donation of 5,000 euros!

This year, the Offenburger Tafel has two reasons to be happy: two generous donations support the important work of the institution, which looks after families in need. The first donation comes from E.optimum, who presented a check for 5,000 euros on St. Nicholas Day. Boris Käser, board member of the company, and marketing manager Barbara Toma personally handed over the sum, which will be used to finance over 330 hours of tutoring for children from table families. As highlighted in a press release from E.optimum, the company is keen to support the Offenburger Tafel's commitment and contribute to improving living conditions in the region, instead of sending traditional Christmas gifts to business partners, as reported bo.de.

The second donation of 3,000 euros comes from the employees of Burda Medien-Park-Verlage. This sum was collected as part of the “Lust auf Genuss” trade fair and handed over to Ilse Herberg from the Offenburger Tafel. This donation will also help the food bank to continue to offer food at symbolic prices, which represents essential support for many people in need in the region. The donations from both sources show the commitment of many to ensure that the necessary help remains in the community, as well badische-zeitung.de reported.

Diverse support for families in need

The Offenburger Tafel has been offering tutoring in subjects such as mathematics, German and English since 2014, supported by committed pensioners and students, in order to offer children from socially disadvantaged families better opportunities. With these two significant donations, the Tafel team can now further expand educational support and offer additional activities for children. The gratitude towards the donors is great, and the Tafel is pleased to be able to use these funds to improve not only education but also basic services for the people in the region.
