Hans Peter Doskozil, the governor of Burgenland, went for an examination at the Leipzig University Hospital. The reason for this step is breathing changes that he has noticed in the last few days. In this investigation he is supported by Univ. Prof. Andreas Dietz, who has been treating his larynx disease for years, is in charge. It cannot be ruled out that further surgery may be necessary, but Doskozil describes this as routine.
The last operation was performed on November 1, 2024, and Doskozil has already had a total of eight procedures. In the last few days he noticed changes in his breathing due to a cold and sought a quick clarification of his health situation. Despite these challenges, he emphasizes that there will be no delays in his government office. State Councilor Leonhard Schneemann (SPÖ) will continue discussions about relieving the burden on communities.

Doskozil plans to coordinate closely with the red-green government team and will inform the public about his further treatment.
