Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - On March 20, 2025, the renowned CAS (Division of the American Chemical Society) announced the participants of the next 2025 CAS FUTURE LEADERS ™ program. The new cohort consists of 35 young scientists from 12 different countries who deal with innovative research fields such as nanotechnology, computer chemistry and green chemistry. The selection and the upcoming program, which will take place in August, not only offer a platform for developing management skills, but also valuable networking options. Peter Carlton, the head of the program, emphasized: "The record number of applications shows the interest of the scientists in the goal of growing as managers," reported Cas.org

Participant like Dr. Alexandra Barth from North Carolina State University already feel the meaning of this program and expressed: "I feel honored to have been selected for the CAS Future Leaders program. This experience will strengthen my leadership qualities and help me to better convey my passion for science." During the two-week program, the participants are given the opportunity to take part in technical discussions, to gain valuable insights into the working methods of CAS and to present their research projects at the ACS autumn conference in Washington, DC. They are also awarded a three -year membership at ACS.

In addition to the 35 participants present on site, 65 other promising scientists will virtually support this year, which are funded as part of the CAS Future Leaders Top 100 Initiative.
