New light rail and large construction projects: Urfahr in the fast lane!

Urfahr, Österreich - The city of Linz is preparing for a comprehensive development in the Urfahr district in order to sustainably improve local traffic and construction projects. The plans for the new light rail, which is supposed to run completely above ground, are the focus of developments. In the next meeting of the urban planning commission, projects such as the Sparkasse Upper Austria, the parish of Christkönig and the Samaritan Association will be treated. These projects are intended to help change the cityscape in Urfahrt considerably, while at the same time the new Stadtbahn station is included in the plans, such as tips.at . The results of these meetings are to be presented in January and serve as the basis for the further development of the area, which is to be optimized for future needs of residents and institutions.

The urban development commission, which was established in the municipal council in 2019, consists of experts in architecture, urban and traffic planning. With the planned new light rail line and the associated stops, you can expect a valuable upgrading from the Urfahr district.
