Ziegenhainer New Year's Eve run: sportiness and tradition combined!
On the last day of 2024, the 52nd goat grove is at the door, which calls runners of all ages into the shooting forest. As nh24.de reported, the event blooms in 2023, which inspired a total of 271 participants, in particular through a high number of children and adolescents who completed the route. The route record of Anna Starostzik, who needed 29:52 minutes for the 8.1 km long main distance, also ensures additional incentive this year. The circuit over 2.7 kilometers is again documented twice: the shorter run, which is particularly designed for the younger participants, starts at 1 p.m., the long run begins at 2 p.m.
A remarkable innovation this year is the start time pre -laid out by half an hour, as in hna.de announced. There is also a change at the award ceremony: this traditionally takes place between the two races in the shooting forest in order to give the young participants a proper recognition. The supporting program with culinary offers also remains, while the Sambistas Volkmarssen will provide a rousing musical experience.
Another positive aspect of this event is the optimal parking situation: the Asklepios Clinic provides its parking space on the event day free of charge. For the organizers, led by Raimund van Kruijssen, the New Year's run is not only a sporting annual financial statements, but also the last rating in the Schwalm-Eder Laufcup 2024. Mayor Tobias Kreuter has also announced his start and will register the run in the usual way.
