The annual celebration of the music association was recently held in Gschwend, which was a musical highlight for the community. The celebration began with a warm greeting by the chairman Moritz Kosel, followed by a greeting from the mayor Jochen Ziehr. The youth band, under the direction of Katharina Presser, opened the evening with the "ice skating Walker" from Émile Waldteufel and thus set the foundation for a successful evening.
The performances included a variety of well -known melodies, including pieces from "Game of Thrones", "Harry Potter" and "Pirates of the Caribbean". After the moderation by Marcel Degout, the youth band closed with the cheerful "Oompa Lompa" from "Charlie and the chocolate factory". In the second part of the concert, the active chapel with 60 musicians and conductor Frieder Geiger performed and began with the Latin piece "Felix Navidad". The baroque choral "Jesus remains my joy" by Johann Sebastian Bach and the romance from Mozart's horn concert No. 3, which contained a solo by Katharina Geiger, were particularly noteworthy.

In the further course of the concert, the audience was entertained with the humorous “cat duet” by Gioacchino Rossini, which was performed by the trumpeters Uwe Schaaf and Marcel Degout. Musical memories of the Berlin journey of the music club were alive with marches such as "Folie Bergère" and "Berliner Luft", followed by the overture "Springtime in Berlin" by Kees Vlak and a lively march in the style of an American Marching Band.
A highlight of the program was a Nena medley with well-known hits like "99 balloons" and "somehow, somewhere, someday". As part of the event, long -standing members and successful young musicians were also recognized. Hubert Rettenmaier took over the honors and there was a raffle with prices that were donated by local companies.
An additional highlight was the Christmas wonder bar, which offered hot apple punch and peppermint liqueur "Berliner Air". Young musicians served freshly baked waffles, while the theater group of the music association presented the play "Zum Teufel with the whole food" under the direction of Gerd Funk and Wolfram press. Special honors were also pronounced for long -term members, with Carolin Weller being celebrated for 30 years of active activity. In addition, several musicians were honored for ten and twenty years.
The general meeting of the Musikverein also took place in which Chairman Moritz Kosel looked back on 2022. After reopening the ProBelocal in May 2022, the active chapel presented several successful appearances and events. The rehearsal visits are not yet at "pre-corona level", but there have been positive developments, especially since the beginning of the anniversary year. The cashier Carolin Abele presented an exemplary cash report, and the discharge of the board was unanimously.In the elections, Moritz Kosel was confirmed as 1st chairman, while Anja Kosel was newly elected as youth leader. The Musikverein Gschwend thus looks optimistic about the upcoming events and the upcoming anniversary, as well as the Gmünder daily post reported.
