Third season of the Leonarter seasons: a musical festival!

St. Leonhard am Forst, Österreich - The popular “Leonarter Seasons” concert series started its third season on May 23, 2025. The opening event started at 8:00 p.m. in the Volkshaus St. Leonhard, where concert pianist Ellada Angelina Pavlou played together with Christos Fountos and Theodora Papanikolaou. The series was launched in 2023 and has since attracted a constantly growing number of music lovers, many of whom express their enthusiasm through standing ovation.

The first event of this year's season entitled "That War Johann Strauß in spring" took place in April 2025 and also in the Volkshaus. Behind it is the initiative of Culture -interested citizens of St. Leonhard am Forst, who have come together under the name Leonart. The impetus to the foundation was the new concert grand, which has been available in the Volkshaus since the end of 2022. This series, which has taken place since 2023, was realized on the initiative of Mag. Fred Ixenmaier and the cultural councilor Franz Hörmann. The series of around 600 guests was visited in the first year, and there is an increasing tendency, as Visionleonhard.at.

The next concert dates are already available in the event calendar of the St. Leonhard market town on the Forst. Preparations for the artist contracts for the Leonarter seasons 2024 have also been concluded.

This year's concert series presents a variety of top -class artists. Ellada Angelina Pavlou, born in Greece, started her piano training five years ago and completed her Bachelor 2019 and Master 2022 in London. She regularly appears as a soloist and in chamber music formats. Carole Alston, an American jazz singer, will also appear in the series and interpret hits by famous composers such as Gershwin and Ellington. She is accompanied by Walter Grassmann, Hans Strasser and Erwin Schmidt.

Other remarkable artists are Rémy Ballot, a violinist and conductor with experience with the Vienna Philharmonic, and his sister Iris Ballot, the concert champion of the sound collective in Vienna. The violist Stefanie Kropfreiter, who works with Rémy Ballot, will also be part of the concerts. In addition, Marta Sudraba, a Latvian cellist, will appear who has international experience and previous membership in the Kremerata Baltica. The doctor and piano lover Gerold Hartmann will also introduce new concert projects.
