Elixhausen celebrates: Advent market inspires despite the weather caps!

The Advent market in Elixhausen took place last weekend, which was visited by the locals despite cold weather and occasional rain. Landtag President Brigitta Pallauf did not miss the opportunity to enjoy the festive atmosphere and visit the market. Musical performances, such as Valentin's game on the accordion, created a Christmas mood, while a Bosna campaign spoiled the sense of taste. The market was also open on Sunday, and Santa Claus distributes sweets to the children, which was an absolute highlight for many small visitors, as meinbezirk.at reported.

a market full of goodies and actions

The Elixhausen Advent market has established itself as a place full of surprises. In addition to homemade cookies and gingerbread figures, jams and pickled delicacies are also offered. Especially for the youngest visitors there was the opportunity to bake cookies themselves, which was great fun for many children. In the craft hut, the guests were able to buy lovingly manufactured little things as gifts or for decoration. Culinary delights such as punch, mulled wine and potato spirals should not be missing. This variety of offers makes the market a small but fine event, which according to Adventguide.at also supports social projects in town.

The program of the market was varied. On Saturday, December 2, among other things, the students of the elementary school performed, and there were numerous activities such as horse-drawn carriage rides and the Christmas tree lighting. Further events are planned on December 8, including music and the opening of the Advent windows, which will also contribute to the festive mood. Such activities not only strengthen the community, but also offer the opportunity to come together in the contemplative time of the year and to experience beautiful moments.
