40 years of ice hockey tradition: Uecr Huben celebrates with spectacle!
On Saturday, December 7th, the UECR Huben experienced a grandiose ice hockey festival for its 40th anniversary. Many fans flocked to the Huben Eisarena two hours before the start of the Hubener. The event was sold out within just three hours! In festive speeches, the UeCr Huben chairman, the Vice Mayor and the President of the Carinthian Ice Hockey Association, congratulated the association full of success and passion for four decades. This celebration was not only a look into the past, but also an impressive testimony of the cohesion and the willpower of the Huben ice hockey community, which was still a blank for many 40 years ago, like dolomitenstadt.at reported.
The highlight of the evening was the show training of the current players of the EC KAC, who amazed the audience with their speed and skill. Among the spectators was the former Huben international Clemens Unterweger, who played his last game for Huben 16 years ago. In a moving live interview, he was happy to be part of this special evening, which eventually ended with a friendly between Uecr Huben and the KAC. Despite a high deficit, Flavio Wibmer Huben brought back into play with two goals, while Clemens Unterweger crowned the final and scored 9-2 for the KAC. This event was rounded off by emotional rounds of honor and autograph sessions of the players, who gave fans unforgettable memories. The sale of the exclusive club chronicle also offered the opportunity to learn more about the exciting history of the UECR Huben, as it describes uekr-huben.at
