Digital guest system: Free public ticket for tourists in Salzburg!

Salzburg, Österreich - An important innovation in Salzburg tourism: As Salzburg.orf.at , the city will introduce a free public transport ticket for tourists from May 1, 2025. Mayor Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ) announced that Tourismus Salzburg GmbH (TSG), which is owned by the city, will buy a digital guest system to enable this. So far, such a technology has been missing from most city accommodation companies, but now they are to be equipped with user -friendly Software that will make it easier to issue guest tickets.

This initiative resulted from intensive discussions between representatives of the city, the transport association and the TSG.
