Political unrest in Serbia: Vučić in the storm of protests!

In Serbia it is bubbling: President Aleksandar Vučić has been exposed to enormous pressure and nationwide protests for weeks. The trigger for the unrest was the tragic misfortune on November 1, when the newly renovated canopy of the train station collapsed in Novi Sad and demanded 15 lives. It is striking that these renovation work had recently been completed by two Chinese companies, which raises questions about responsibility. The outrage over the incident resulted in numerous demonstrations, in which posters with the provocative slogan "Your hands are bloody" could be seen. According to Kosmo , the protesters at 11:52 a.m. held up the victim.

The situation continued to escalate when a total of 12 people have been arrested in the past few weeks, including the Minister of Infrastructure Goran Vesić, who had recently resigned. But the arrests and resignations could not slow down the wave of protests. Students in particular are involved and occupy universities in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš. They call for the disclosure of the secret contracts for the station renovations, since it is assumed that the commissioned Chinese companies have awarded sub -orders to Serbian companies with good connections to the government, reports Kurier .
