Free Sport.platz Vienna: From August Movement for everyone!

In August 2025, the ASKÖ WAT will organize an exciting sports program under the name Sport.platz Vienna . This free offer is aimed at the entire population and takes place in various Viennese parks and public places. The start date is the 4. August at 5 p.m. at Rathausplatz , followed by further appointments in different locations until August 29th.

The events are open to all age groups and fitness levels. In a total of 11 different parks , interested parties can enjoy a variety of sports. The member associations present offers such as Zumba, Strong Nation, Backfit and Yoga. For children there will also be Hopsi Hopper movement stations that are specially tailored to the youngest participants. Sports clothing is an advantage, but not absolutely necessary, which means that everyone has the opportunity to become active and have fun.

The final event takes place on 31. August in the Danube Park and thus offers a crowning conclusion to this sporting action. District head Ernst Nevrivy already praised the event for its accessibility and the broad offer. At the kick-off on 7. August to celebrate the 15th anniversary with around 500 participants .
