There was a tragic accident on Goethestrasse in Maintal-Bischofsheim on Wednesday, December 4th, in which a 35-year-old man died. As the police headquarters in Southeast Hesse announced, the man was hit by a vehicle pulling out of a parking space at around 9:20 a.m. The 73-year-old driver of a VW apparently overlooked the man as she tried to reverse out of a parking lot. Despite the immediate rescue measures, the man died at the scene of the accident, which required the intervention of paramedics and the police to clarify the incident.
Cause of accident and investigation
Initial police investigations revealed that the man was standing behind a Ford Transit when the accident occurred. The exact course of the accident is currently unclear, which is why an expert was called in to investigate the circumstances of the fatal incident.
