Young burglars caught in Döbling – shocking actions!

On a dramatic night for the police, there were several arrests for burglary-related offenses. In Vienna, specifically in the Döbling district, officers caught several young people who were involved in at least three burglaries. This was a group of four young perpetrators aged 12 and 13. During their failed attempt to escape, the police were able to catch the young people in the act at around 1.45 a.m. The detectives secured cash amounting to 1,000 euros as well as two security hammers, which the perpetrators had probably used to break windows, like the one crown reported.

Burglary in Cologne schools

Equally alarming are the events in Cologne, where police caught a trio of men red-handed while trying to break into a school in the Immendorf district on the night of last Thursday. These schools have become particularly tempting targets with the acquisition of tablets for digitalization, as the buildings have complicated structures that reduce the risk of detection. A police spokesman explained that the presence of law enforcement officers had been increased due to the increased number of break-ins in these areas. However, the trio of men, at least two of whom are said to be members of a youth gang, were released that same night after being temporarily arrested, WDR reported.

The investigation is continuing as the police are checking whether the suspects can be proven to have committed any further crimes as part of this series of burglaries. The suspects were questioned and some were investigated in order to possibly find out more about the gang behind the crimes. The continued break-ins in schools and other institutions show a worrying development in the crime situation in the affected cities.
