A careful tip from a witness led to the arrest of a 34-year-old man from Slovakia in Oberndorf, St. Pölten district, on Friday, December 6, 2024. At around 9:45 a.m., the woman observed the suspect gaining access to a residential complex and going into the basement area. During the subsequent search of his backpack, investigators discovered a number of suspicious items that indicated plans for another crime. Among the items found were a Mini-Flex, various keys, a blackjack, a small amount of cannabis, a scale as well as gloves and a balaclava. The officers also found two ID cards belonging to a woman and a woman's watch.
