A bloody incident recently shook downtown Essen when a 34-year-old Moroccan fell victim to a brutal knife attack on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on the Schützenbahn when the man was seriously injured with multiple stab wounds to the neck by an unknown attacker who rushed towards him. Fortunately, the injured man is now out of danger.
At the time of the crime, the perpetrator is said to have shouted to the victim, “I'll kill you!”, which he shouted in Arabic, before attacking his victim. The attack could only be stopped through the courageous intervention of witnesses who prevented the perpetrator from stabbing further. Nevertheless, the attacker managed to escape towards the town hall.

Police arrived at the scene just a few minutes later and found the seriously injured man unconscious and bleeding profusely at a stop near the “Town Hall Gallery”.
