Memorial event for terrorist victims and solidarity with Israel

A year has passed since 1,200 innocent people were murdered in a cruel way and 240 hostages were deported to the Gaza strips by terrorists. Today the Austrian Parliament is reminiscent of the victims of this terrible terrorist attack and expresses its solidarity with the families concerned. National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka emphasizes the unshakable solidarity of Austria with Israel and the Jewish people. At an event, Ariel Muzicant, President of the European Jewish Congress, Oskar Deutsch, President of the Israelite Culture Community of Vienna, and the ambassador of the State of Israel in Austria, David Roet, submit statements. They commemorate the victims of October 7th and call up not to forget the hostages that are still caught and do everything to bring them home. The upper rabbi of the IKG Vienna, Jaron Engelmayer, speaks memory for the murdered and 12 candles are lit to their memory.

Marianne Mamat-Grinberg and Shoval evening Plotzki are reminiscent of their family members, who have been held as hostages since the terrible day, and express their hope for their liberation.

as a sign of solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people, the pillars of parliament are currently shining in the blue and white colors of the Israeli flag.
