On November 15, 2024, the Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart shone in the shine of the seventh central naturalization ceremony of the state of Baden-Württemberg! Over 230 new citizens and guests of honor celebrated this special moment, which was launched by none other than the deputy prime minister and interior minister Thomas Strobl. Since 2017, this celebration has been an integral part of the naturalization culture in Baden-Württemberg and celebrates the diversity and courage of the new fellow citizens.

"Naturalization is a high asset!", Strobl called enthusiastically. "With their naturalization, our new fellow citizens have set a significant sign." These words echoed through the ballroom, while the new citizens proudly received their German citizenship. They come from different countries, bring different cultures and traditions with them and have deliberately decided to live in Germany. Whether fled out of necessity or looking for new opportunities - everyone unites the will to shape a future in this country. "Integration is a process that takes time," emphasized Strobl and compared the people to trees who have to cultivate their roots to grow healthy.

In 2023, impressive 22,745 people from 139 nations were naturalized in Baden-Württemberg-an increase of 8.5 percent compared to the previous year! This celebration is not only a festival, but also a powerful sign of appreciation for the decision to acquire the German passport. The evening was musically accompanied by the state police orchestra, which perfectly rounded off the festive atmosphere. A truly unforgettable evening that touched the hearts of everyone present!
