In Saarbrücken last Saturday afternoon there was a violent argument in the parking garage of the “Globus” shopping center that ended with a bloody result. A 34-year-old driver got into an argument and was both physically attacked and injured with pepper spray. The incident occurred on the first floor of the parking garage, one of the busiest areas at lunchtime.
It all started when the 34-year-old, annoyed by a failure to give way, honked his horn at around 12:20 p.m. This caused the other driver to brake abruptly, get out of his red Citroen and attack the man with threatening gestures. Shortly afterwards, the situation developed into a physical argument in which the angry driver hit the 34-year-old in the face several times, causing severe lacerations.
An attack with long-lasting effects
The escalation took a dramatic turn when the attacker's passenger, also of Arab phenotype, sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray. The two perpetrators, accompanied by two small children in the back seat, then fled in their Citroen with a French license plate. The injured man had to be taken to hospital while authorities investigated immediately.
The alleged perpetrators are described as follows: The male attacker is between 35 and 40 years old, around 180 cm tall, with short hair and a beard and of a strong build. The woman is said to be around 160 cm tall, of a strong build, with long black hair and was wearing dark clothing. Both people probably spoke Arabic during the crime.
