In the Styrian state elections, there is a dramatic upheaval in the Weiz district: the FPÖ triumphs with 36 percent of the vote, which means a remarkable increase in 18.5 percentage points. There is a similar picture in the neighboring community of Sinabelkirchen, where the FPÖ achieves the absolute majority with an impressive 50.8 percent and thus puts ÖVP Mayor Emanuel Pfeifer into a difficult situation.
