New mayor for Schrems: Süß takes over the city tour!

At the upcoming constituent council meeting on March 6, the 36-year-old lawyer Süß will be appointed the new city leader of Schrems. As reported , Franz Pichler from the FPÖ will be at his side as vice-mayor. Süß, who has been acting as director of the Austrian Farmers' Association since 2022, emphasized that he would withdraw from this office after his election. In the municipal council election at the end of January, the ÖVP took first place with 41 percent, while the SPÖ fell to 38.7 percent and both parties were able to reach twelve mandates in the city parliament. The FPÖ increased to three MPs and now forms a majority of 15 out of 29 mandates together with the ÖVP.

FPÖ plans large -scale campaign in the Weiz

The FPÖ district of Weiz has presented its strategic plans for the upcoming municipal elections.

Derler optimistic about the opportunities of the FPÖ to change the previous political landscape. Current successes in the Super election year 2024 are to continue on this swing. They want to actively shape and take on responsibility to offer voters a real alternative. In Birkfeld in particular, increased attention is paid to the needs of the citizens to decisively influence the political landscape in the Weiz district.
