New mayor brings a breath of fresh air in Heldenberg!

The political landscape in Heldenberg has changed drastically when Mayor Günther Brandstätter surprisingly resigned from his office on Wednesday evening. The resignation is due to the decision of the ÖVP not to nominate him as the top candidate for the upcoming municipal elections. Brandstätter confirmed this and expressed himself disappointed that despite the prior support within the party, no nomination was carried out, such as the NÖN reported.

In the middle of this turbulence, the ÖVP experienced an upswing in Heldenberg. In the first parliamentary group meeting after Brandstätter's resignation, the new mayor Thomas Glanz expressed optimistic and euphoric. He welcomed ten new members who have agreed to actively participate in community life. "It was really cool. It was felt that something was moving. We had no longer had the drive that we had yesterday," quoted the Noen

While Brandstätter makes space for a newly elected tour, gloss could become a new phase of the office for a turning point for the party in Heldenberg, especially before the municipal council elections 2025, which are already on the agenda. The stable membership growth in the party give reason to hope for a fresh start.
