Viennese entrepreneur network started: bridges for new opportunities!

Wien, Österreich - On April 24, 2025, the official launch of the entrepreneurs ’organization (EO) Austria took place in the 25hours Hotel Vienna. With this event, the new Austrian chapter of the international network was launched, which now has over 222 local entrepreneurs: interior communities worldwide, of which 24 in Europe. Over 100 entrepreneurs: inside, whose families and guests from 15 countries took part in the celebration. The motto of the event was "Building Bridges Across Europe" and reflected the endeavor to create entrepreneurial connections across national borders.

A highlight of the evening was the keynote by Richard Mulholland, an internationally recognized speaker and former president of the EO Chapter in Cape Town. Mulholland emphasized the crucial role of change and renewal for entrepreneurial success. Christian Chaléat, President and founding member of the new Chapter, explained the goal of supporting local entrepreneurs: inside Austria and at the same time enabling global networking.

focus on diversity and female entrepreneurship

The launch also included a number of talks and a Fishbowl panel in which renowned entrepreneurs shared their insights into new management approaches. Martin Verdino, responsible for marketing, communication and diversity at EO, emphasized the importance of promoting female entrepreneurship and diversity. The topic is particularly important, since the proportion of founders in many regions, such as in Germany, is still low. The reasons for this include a lack of role models and high barriers in financing due to prejudices and often lack of trust in women in their own skills. Initiatives such as “Women Start-up” support networks for women and offer valuable resources for aspiring entrepreneurs.

As part of the events, Sabine Gromer spoke about the concept of anti -fragility, which emphasizes the sustainable success through growth from uncertainties. Lisa Fassl focused on start -up promotion and access to capital as an innovation factor. Dr. Eyal Ronen explained the role of new technologies and artificial intelligence in an entrepreneurial context. The subsequent Fishbowl discussion dealt with essential topics such as diversity, gender bias, authentic leadership and resilient entrepreneurial networks.

networking and growth in focus

The launch weekend also included various networking formats and myeo events, which give the members of EO the opportunity to grow locally and to network internationally. EO offers over 19,500 members in more than 220 chapters worldwide versatile opportunities for personal and entrepreneurial development. The leitmotif of the new Austrian chapter is "Connect + Learn + Grow", which underlines the intention of supporting entrepreneurs: inside on their way.

EO was founded in 1987 and has set itself the goal since then to promote founders: inside through learning programs, exchange formats and peer-to-peer communities. At a time when diversity and inclusion gain importance, the initiation of such platforms is seen as a significant step for the future promotion of female entrepreneurship and a diverse corporate culture.
