Simmeringer SC secures 3: 1 victory in an exciting game
In a gripping duel from the Viennese city league, the 1st Simmeringer SC prevailed 3-1 against LAC-Inter. The game took place on November 4, 2023 and promised pure excitement right from the start. Despite an early deficit, the home team fought bitterly and turned the game in the second half in its favor.
Already in the third minute of the game, Tobias Seebacher made the shock moment for the Simmeringers when he carried the ball into the net with a precise shot from 20 meters and gave LAC-Inter 1-0. In the first half, the guests from the country road clearly had the game under control, with Moritz Urbanski awarded another great chance in the 12th minute when his shot was parried by goalkeeper Filip Nesic.
The turning point in the game
Although the Simmeringer had difficulty finding into play at the beginning, the dynamics changed completely after half -time. An important moment came in the 64th minute when Sanel Tahirovic achieved the equalization after a template by Andreas Rossak. The team brought this goal to the top and gave them additional swing.
Just seven minutes later the next climax: Dejan Slamarski confidently converted a penalty after a foul was punished in the penalty area. Now it was 2-1 for Simmering and the pressure on the guests grew. Kevin Salay finally made the game clear in the 81st minute when he made the decision to 3: 1 after a quick counterattack. The goal was the result of a clever interplay that totally surprised the defense against LAC-Inter.
In the last minutes of the game, the guests tried to come back again, but the Simmeringer defense did not allow anything. Even a four -minute added time did not change the fact that the Simmeringer brought the well -deserved victory over time. The 1st Simmeringer SC thus collected important points and consolidated its position in the league, while LAC-Inter is overwintered in the penultimate place.
