With humor against diabetes: Premiere of Johnnybär in the Olé Theater
In order to put a smile on the face of children with diabetes and at the same time draw attention to the disease, an innovative play is brought to the stage. The association "Die Zuckererbsen" presents the clown piece "Johnnybär - The Fearless Monkey" in the Olé Theater, not far from the Kaisergarten in the heart of the country road.
The premiere will take place on Saturday, November 16, at 3 p.m. Not only is the piece themselves, which is intended for children from the age of four, but also presented the association's project. The play on this occasion is part of the celebrations for World Diabetes Day on Thursday, November 14th, an important date to raise awareness of the challenges that the disease brings.
humorous education by theater
The artists who are behind "The Sugar Ps" bring extensive experience as clowns in various contexts, including hospitals. Their goal is to bring children and their families closer to diabetes in an entertaining and accessible way. The humorous staging should take fears and promote easier handling of the disease. After the performance, there is the opportunity to learn more about the project and how it supports people with diabetes.
In addition to the premiere, further performances are planned, including a special presentation for schools and kindergartens on Wednesday, November 20, at 10 a.m. This series continues, with appointments on January 12, February 16 and March 16, at 3 p.m.
The meeting place for this special event, which is aimed at the young generation, is the Olé Theater, located in Barmherzigengasse 18/corner of Kaisergartengasse. The price for admission is very affordable with 7 euros for children and 10 euros for accompanying persons. For more information, interested parties can be contacted by email to info@theater-ole.at or contact at 0699/188 117 71.
The commitment of "Die Zuckererbsen" impressively shows how important it is to also involve children in the discussion about diabetes and to offer them a supportive environment. By combining humor and art, they not only create an entertaining event, but also make a decisive contribution to education and sensitization.
