A highlight was the concert in May, which was led by Andreas Helm, a recognized baroque boist. Together with his historic wind ensemble field music , he took the audience into the world of the English oboen band of the 17th century, which played an indispensable role at the courtyards of Europe. The combination of baroque boe, baroque pet, recorder and historical percussion delighted the audience and offered a unique insight into the little -known repertoire of these instruments.
The last autumn concert pulled the audience entitled "Madonna, these men!" to Italy, where Georg Friedrich Handel created his Italian cantatas. The soloist Roberta Interizzi impressed with her performance and took those present on an emotional journey through the topics of love, from falling in love to infidelity.
The upcoming concert on November 15, 2024 will be under the motto "Hitparade 1600 - Jam session with Monteverdi & Friends". The baroque ensemble will present the singers Aliki Siousti and Tabea Mitterbauer. The setlist includes a selection of pieces, which from today's perspective might be called pop songs. Ballads, dances and other popular melodies, which would certainly play in the charts in the 17th century, are brought to the top.
Alexander Flor will give an introductory lecture before the concert at 5:30 p.m. in which he explains how one could imagine a historical hit parade and what meaning this music was at the time. The concert then begins at 6:00 p.m.
