Two bicycle thieves arrested in Vienna: the police strike successfully

On Tuesday, the Viennese police made two suspected bicycle thieves. The arrests took place in the early morning when attentive citizens observed suspicious activities and alerted the police.

In one case, a house resident noticed a dark -clad man from his balcony who was struggling with a strange bike. The suspect fled when the police arrived and dropped his jacket and backpack. The officials were able to stop the man, a 23-year-old with Slovak citizenship, in fashiona park. During the search of his backpack and his jacket, they found stolen objects that probably came from previous burglaries. At the order of the public prosecutor, the suspect was brought to a prison.

Another bicycle thief was spotted in Vienna-Leopoldstadt. Here, too, an attentive resident reported suspicious activities.
