Vienna election 2025: FPÖ relies on proven heads for success
The Viennese FPÖ is preparing intensively for the upcoming elections in 2025. The aim is to win at least one district in the capital again for the freedom. Party management has clearly formulated this requirement and chose a strategic approach to set the course for the election campaign.
Harald Vilimsky, an experienced EU mandate and deputy party leader of the Vienna FPÖ, was appointed to lead the election campaign. Vilimsky has a lot of political experience, which should be decisive for the party strategy. Lukas Brucker will work at his side, who until recently acted as club spokesman for the FPÖ in parliament. Brucker will act as a state party secretary together with Michael Stumpf to coordinate the election activities.
strategic realignment
The decision to appoint prominent personal details in central positions with Vilimsky and Brucker indicates that the FPÖ specifically relies on fresh impulses. The combination of experience and new vigor is to be restructured and more dynamic.
Although it is still a year until the elections, the early start of the election campaign preparations shows that the FPÖ wants to proactively face the challenges of the political landscape in Vienna. It remains to be seen how this strategy will affect voting and whether the freedoms can actually achieve their goal of recapturing a district.
