Free book campaign in favorites: Get a picnic on the ice!

In a special campaign, the district head of favorites and BV Marcus Franz invited the book lovers in Vienna to collect a free book. This initiative has a long tradition: Since 2002, a specially designed book has been produced in a edition of 100,000 copies once a year and distributed free of charge throughout Vienna.

from the 19. November In favorites within the project “ a city. A book. ” will issue this year's free book. The novel "Picnic on the Ice" by Andrej Kurkow was chosen for this distribution. In an exciting way, the author from Ukraine tells the story of an unsuccessful writer who tries to make a living by writing obituary for prominent personalities. Over time, he notices that more and more of these celebrities have actually died.

where and when can you pick up the book?

The book can be picked up from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the district head Favorite on Keplerplatz on the first floor. It is important to note that only one book per person is issued, and this is enough for as long as the stocks last.
