Schröcksnadel: A ski lifestyle full of surprises and stories!

Wien, Österreich - Peter Schröcksnadel, the long -time president of the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV), is back in the spotlight! The 80-year-old plans to get on the Rennski again at the upcoming World Cup. "I can still ski pretty well," said the former sports official convinced. For him, this is already the seventh home World Cup, after numerous experiences in 1985, 1991, 1999, 2001, 2013 and 2019, without being more involved in the organization of the events, since it no longer has a presidency. According to Krone he relies on the surprises that a World Cup brings with it, and no longer wants to give advice to the ski association.

The book gives a deep insight into his life and dazzling career, in which he worked as an ÖSV president for 31 years. Numerous companions have their say here, including most prominent names such as Marcel Hirscher and Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen. Schröcksnadel currently acts as Vice President in the International Ski Association FIS and heads the new Alpine Future Group, which deals with innovations in ski racing. One of his heart projects remains cancer research, which is important to him. He is looking forward to the success of the book and reveals: "I never thought that someone once wanted a book from me." Another book by another author, Clemens Hellsberg, about Schröcksnadel is already being planned, which is supposed to illuminate it from a different perspective.
