Vienna election 2025: SPÖ remains strong, FPÖ celebrates success!
Wien, Österreich - On April 27, 2025, the municipal council and state elections took place in Vienna. According to the first results, the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) under Mayor Michael Ludwig defended its position as the strongest strength and achieved 39.3 percent of the vote. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) improved significantly and came to 20.5 percent. The Greens held their result of 2020, while the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) probably slipped under the 10 percent mark.
