Goat bargain in the wildlife park: Who sees the missing baby?

In the Feldkirch wildlife park, a missing goat baby ensures great concern. The female goat child surprisingly disappeared from the enclosure on Monday morning. Animal keeper Birgit Wedel describes the animal as black and white and about 20 centimeters high. Despite intensive searches by the employees, the goat baby has not yet been found. The risk that it was fetched by a fox or bird of prey is real, but Wedel hopes that the little goat has simply escaped and keeps hidden nearby. The wildlife park asks for information from the population if someone sees the missing animal, as vorarlberg.orf reports.

The enclosure in the Völlinghausen wildlife park, where these goats also live, not only offers a special experience for children. Here visitors can watch the lively goats who want to beg for treats and even be caressed. Goats are considered to be extremely intelligent animals and seek the proximity of fellow species and people. This also includes treating the goats lovingly to promote their well-being, as can be seen on wildpark-völlinghausen.de

The challenges in animal husbandry are complex, especially if the goats are brought into new environments. It is often evident that the animals become restless in foreign conditions and show loss of appetite. It is all the more important that you feel comfortable in the wildlife park and receive sufficient care. Therefore, it is not only the responsibility of the nurses, but also the visitor to enable this lively goats to make a happy life.
