Snow -covered slopes in chaos: drama after skiing accidents and attacks!
On February 25, a brutal assault occurred at Feldkircher Bahnhof, in which five to six young people, predominantly with a migration background, attacked three winter sports enthusiasts. Dr. Stefan Denifl, who represents the affected men, reported serious injuries, including a broken nose in one of the victims who was added to him when he was lying on the ground and was kicked in the face. The attack occurred around 1 a.m., while the skiers were waiting for their train after a day on the slopes. Despite the video surveillance of the station, the acts could not be recorded, which made it difficult to search for the perpetrators, as Vol.at reported.
serious skiing accident on the Madloch
A little later, on December 27th, a ski accident on the slopes "Madloch" ended dramatically. A 47-year-old skier was killed by an unknown skier and fell behind a terrain crest, while a 19-year-old fell against her. Another skier of 36 years also got into the accident and had to be seriously injured by an emergency helicopter to the State Hospital Feldkirch. The danger from passers -by was considerable because some skiers passed the scene of the accident at high speed. A particularly ruthless skier even raced through the barrier and collided with a slope rescuer that was used, but was unharmed. The Lech police inspection has investigated, and the incident is forwarded to the Feldkirch public prosecutor, as from information from orf.at .
Together these incidents draw an alarming picture of security in the winter season. The demand for more video surveillance in public locations increases in the face of such violence and the risk of injury. While the police are trying to hold those responsible for accounting, the question of the security of the guests in the holiday regions and in urban areas remains unsolved.
