Corruption process against Vorarlberg's ex-state governor in March!
The Vorarlberg Economic Association is at the center of a scandal that now flows in a explosive process before the Feldkirch Regional Court. The date for the negotiation has been set on March 4 and could result in serious legal consequences for the former state governor Karlheinz Rüdisser and three ex-managers of the Economic Association. The process revolves around allegations of the infidelity and benefit acceptance, which, according to the Economic and Corruption Prosecutor's Office (WKStA), have been determined for a year and a half. There are prison terms of up to three years, as Vol.at reported.
The indictment accuses Rüdisser, at the time as a state governor and the State Council of Economic Affairs, against applicable law. Together with other data subjects, he is said to have met agreements to hand over advantages whose acceptance was able to influence him in his official function. In particular, he is accused that Christmas parties and the costs of his farewell dinner were borne by a ÖVP participation organization. The main hearing is scheduled for 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., whereby the imposition of an association money will also be an issue, as added.
Karlheinz Rüdisser himself vehemently denies the allegations raised against him and sees himself unfairly treated. The coming months could therefore not only have far -reaching consequences for him, but also for professional politics in Vorarlberg, since the process could question transparency and integrity within the political bodies.
