a festive day full of highlights
The big move, which leads through the Herrenried district at 1.30 p.m., will be the highlight of the day. Almost 100 groups and around 3,000 active participants take part here. At 11:11 a.m., the carnival traditionally is proclaimed by the President of the Vorarlberg Fasnachtsverein (VVF), Barbara Leser, in the presence of guild delegations from almost all parts of the country. Before moving, there is a public morning pint with musical performances by Garden and Fanfares, which initiates the festivities.
The Fool's Day also begins with a reception for mayor and guild master, who brings all club men and women together of the VVF member associations. At this official ceremony there are greetings from state and municipal policy that are framed by the festive sounds of the VVF music trains. The end of the day is a social gathering in the tennis event center after the move, which attracts numerous visitors from all over the country. Over 10,000 spectators are expected at this colorful hustle and bustle - an event that the whole region is looking forward to, as well as the VVF reports .
Due to the high number of visitors, the organizers recommend travel by bus and train, as the festival hall and the moving route are conveniently accessible from Hohenems train station. The Fool's Day is therefore an indispensable part of the Vorarlberg carnival and takes on Narre from near and far year after year. With a magnificent coat of arms that shows a Capricorn on the head together with the palace of Hohenems, the faithful identity of the city is repeatedly put in the foreground, which refers to the impressive history of the castle narren, as the orf vorarlberg reports .
