Future vision Dornbirn: Citizens are actively shaping their city!
The city of Dornbirn plans a future -oriented redesign of its city center and has caught up with the feedback from the citizens: inside. At a survey at the beginning of the year, almost 900 people took part in the vision for the future development of the city. This resulted in three central topics: trade, climate change and the public space. The first ideas were presented in the city library last Saturday, including the proposal for a market hall in the city center and a new encounter zone in front of the Capuchin monastery. Another step towards the participation of the city concerns the traffic planning. Randomly selected 13 people form a citizen: indoor council who discusses mobility issues. The results of these discussions flow into the traffic concept and will be presented in the Kulturhaus on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. The participants of the citizen: Interior council represent different age and professional groups, including a young mother, a manager and a young person to obtain the broadest possible opinion.
The urban development plan (Step) is also advanced. This plan, which has been developed together with experts and the population in the past two years, defines the trend -setting goals for future urban development. The preliminary draft of the plan can now be viewed in the town hall and on the city's website.
