A dramatic morning in Nuremberg: shortly after 5 a.m., the firefighters were alerted due to a fire in a homeless accommodation in Holzschuherstrasse. When she arrived, it turned out that the flames had grown massively. In a quick rescue operation, 34 residents could be brought to safety due to the strong smoke development. A fire brigade spokesman informed that a resident was saved from the first floor using a turntable ladder. Thanks to the rapid intervention, where 40 emergency services were on site, the fire could be brought under control after around 30 minutes. The evacuated residents were temporarily supplied on a bus from the municipal transport company (VAG) until they were distributed to other accommodations. in parallel to this incident there was a further use in Vorarlberg due to heavy smoke development. Passers -by raised the alarm and a large contingent of fire brigade was ordered to downtown Dornbirn. Local firefighters finally found that the smoke came from burning garbage cows that were on a flames on a construction site in an outbuilding. The fire brigade immediately initiated measures to ventilate the underground car park of the Citypark shopping center and was able to extinguish the fire quickly. Fortunately, nobody was injured, as the ORF Vorarlberg reported. The rapid reaction of the emergency services prevented the fire from spreading and ensured the safety of the residents.
