Nursing plant 39: Common initiative against the need for care in Schwaz
in Schwaz, a region that invites you to the Oktoberfest and leisure activities, the 39 municipalities and their care facilities have come together to counteract the urgent lack of nurses. On Tuesday, the new campaign, entitled "Nursing Werk 39"
This initiative, which includes all nursing and care professions, wants to support in various ways. For the nurses involved, the cooperation will bring numerous advantages. Possibilities for joint events and activities are created that offer relatives of the professions a platform to network and present their concerns. In addition, a specific website is set up with a care job exchange that indicates job offers in the entire district.
participation of the nursing staff
An essential part of the campaign is the integration of the nursing staff themselves. They should be able to bring their voice through a central point of contact that has already started. Nurses can explain their needs and priorities via an online questionnaire. The results of this questionnaire are expected to be implemented in concrete measures in the first half of 2025 that are implemented in the entire Schwaz district.
"Workshops are planned based on the feedback of the questionnaire in cooperation with the employees of the nursing facilities. These working groups will deal with the specific needs of the nursing staff who can vary very different," explained Gertrud Vogler-Harb, head of the education center for nursing professions in Schwaz. This initiative follows an alarming trend: In the next five years, around 50,000 nurses all over Austria will have to be re -discontinued or filled.
The “Nursing Werk 39” initiative sets a clear sign that the challenges in the nursing sector cannot be solved solely by those affected. The campaign combines forces to effectively tackle the problems of the industry and to find a sustainable solution through community action.
