background information on the election

Further information on the election and election data in general can be found in the Election database Austria . This database contains partial and overall results from various elections since 1945 and shows the mandate distributions of National Council elections, EU elections, federal presidential elections and state elections. It should be emphasized that the data has also included the results of state elections at the municipal level since the late 1980s.

like vorarlberg.orf.at , the turnout at the municipal level in older elections is sometimes inaccurate. This can be caused in particular by so -called election cards. The participants should also familiarize themselves with the historical contexts and the elections in recent years in order to understand the importance of this special runoff election.
